My coaching journey
I began my coaching journey at the age of 15, assisting coaching sessions at local primary schools for after school clubs. As soon as I was old enough I completed my level 1 badge and took on a junior team at the club I was playing at. I studied sports development at college and studied a minor course throughout my time there in "Excellence in Football". This involved being coached by some of the best coaches from around the world including coaches from Ajax, Barcelona and Manchester United. I found this time very special to my coaching development. After college I coached at professional clubs at community, shadow squad and academy level. This lead me to gain opportunities to coach around the world in such destinations as Spain, Turkey and the United States.

I then studied and completed a teaching degree at Leeds Becket University and spent the next 5 years teaching in primary and secondary schools, but I never lost my love for coaching at grass roots level. I continued to coach junior and senior teams and throughout my time have gained a lot of knowledge and experienced which I would love to share with everyone, which is why I have created this website.
"I am not sure about the academy system most clubs have – what is the
point of trying to discipline a seven year old? You have to let them find their
own game. I never changed my game – people have to do what they feel
comfortable with."
